Trust & Verification on UbumWi

Every business on UbumWi earns its position through real network verification signals — not advertising, not paid placement. This page explains how verification is established, what each badge means, and how endorsements work.

How verification works on UbumWi

Each business progresses through a verification model — Basic, Established, Qualified, Accredited — as it is verified, claimed by its owner, endorsed by network members, and engaged with on the platform. Nothing on this page can be paid for.

What Verification Status means

A four-tier institutional model — Basic, Established, Qualified, Accredited — summarising verification, endorsements, and platform activity. Higher tiers reflect deeper verification and stronger network endorsement.

What the verified badge means

The verified badge appears when UbumWi has cross-referenced the business against an official record (e.g. Companies House, Charity Commission, GOV.UK, Wikidata).

What endorsements mean

Endorsements come from real network members vouching for a business they have used. Each endorsement is one named person on the platform.

How a business strengthens its Verification Status

  1. Claim the profile so we know the owner is in control.
  2. Get verified — UbumWi cross-checks the business against official records.
  3. Collect endorsements from real customers and network members.
  4. Stay active — respond to enquiries, keep the profile up to date.
